Programs
The Gray Muzzle Project launched the Forever Home Program in the Summer of 2025 and additional supporting programs to ensure resident senior dogs are provided the best care and quality of life.
Forever Home Program
The Forever Home Program provides a safe, loving sanctuary for senior dogs with special medical needs or who are difficult to adopt. Resident dogs enjoy comfortable communal housing, enrichment, and integrative hospice care provided by our staff veterinarian, Dr. Jamie Walkush. Treatments focus on pain management and quality of life, and may include acupuncture, physical therapy/rehabilitation, massage, herbal or pharmaceutical medications, and nutritional support. With your support, these dogs can live their final days in comfort, surrounded by care, calm, and compassion.

Gray Muzzle Caretaker Volunteer Program
Caretaker Volunteers provide daily care, socialization, and both careful observation and close interaction with our animals to ensure they are receiving the individual care they need- and plenty of love!
No Waste Food Program: Coming Soon!
The Gray Muzzle Project believes that food is medicine and strive to feed our dogs as many fresh, whole foods as possible. With the launch of a food partnership with local farmers, Gray Muzzle hopes to reduce its carbon footprint while nourishing Resident Dogs from the inside out.
Are you a local farmer, grower, producer? Please reach out by email if you can assist with the development of this new program!
